Biography

Zhuo Chen received the B.E. degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 1997, and the MER and Ph.D. degree in Telecommunications from the University of Sydney in 2001 and 2004, respectively. Before joining the CSIRO ICT Centre as a Research Scientist, Zhuo worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Sydney (2004-2006). His research interests cover the general areas of wireless communications. More specifically, space-time coding, MIMO systems, turbo codes, OFDMA, and cooperative communications system. He has 38 papers published in or submitted to refereed journals or conferences. He participated in two large industrial projects sponsored by Nortel Networks(1999-2001) and SingTel Optus(2002-2004) on high-speed wireless data transmission. He was a visiting researcher at Nortel Networks Harlow Laboratory in London in October 2000.
