Overview
After completing her studies at the University of Sydney , Nerolie joined the CSIRO Division of Radiophysics in 1991. Initially she worked on algorithms for the compression high-quality images. In 1992 she joined the System for Quick Image Search (SQIS) Project, researching and demonstrating automatic face recognition from still images and video input. Since 1999 she has become interested in more general image processing, and in particular the design of intelligent user interfaces in medical imaging and most recently in networking.
