Biography
I joined the Autonomous Systems Lab in February 2006 to carrying out research in localization and navigation for outdoor vehicles.
Since March 2008 I have been enrolled at University of Queensland's (UQ) Queensland Brain Institute (QBI) to do my PhD in the field of biologically-inspired robot navigation using vision.
I achieved my M.Sc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with major in Automation and Robotics in January 2007 from Technical University of Denmark. In 2003 I conducted a project for my bachelor thesis at Alfred Kaercher, Germany, which resulted in a patent for indoor robot localization.
I am interested in bringing autonomous robotics to a level accessible to everybody by making the machines more intelligent so they are able to control their behavior in unstructured environments in operation with human beings. Especially the robot-world-interface interests me.
