Biography
My Objective: “Striving to transform the knowledge on ICT to benefit the society on healthy lifestyle.“
I completed my degree in BSc (Information Technology) at Curtin University of Technology in 2009. A broad knowledge of available technologies gave the inspiration to study more. While I was pursuing my Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science, I stared my ICT career at Lions Eye Institute, Perth. This gave me fine opportunity to exploit my skills in ophthalmology. I specialised in creating user-friendly touch screen software applications for ophthalmology, involving visual function tests along with retinal imaging and tele-ophthalmology.
I joined CSIRO, ICT Centre in 2009. I currently work with a team of 5 in Floreat, WA. One of the main project we undertake is the ocular bio-markers in Alzheimer ’s disease study. We are developing intelligent imaging algorithms to identify retinal parameters with user interactive software application.
Currently I am performing the lead software engineering role for Pilbara project. This project aims at providing tele-ophthalmology service to the rural and remote communities. This consists of a full-scale website with database support along with Image processing and manipulation capabilities. We are evolving the system by adding clinical decision support capabilities and mobile based diagnosis.
Areas which I Specialise in: Tele-ophthalmology, Ocular Imaging, Decision support systems, Web development, Mobile Web development, Database design and implementation.
Programming skills & languages: Website Development: Microsoft ASP.NET , Microsoft Silverlight, HTML, Javascript, Web services, Microsoft SQL database, Dashcode for IOS apps.
