Biography
Hang DING finished his PhD from the University of Queensland in 2007 , obtained the Master degree of Medical Imaging Sciences from the Curtin University of Technology in 2001, and obtained the Bachelor degree of Biomedical Engineering from the Capital University of Medical Sciences in 1994. He joined the Australian e-Health Research Centre in the December 2008. Currently he works on the Care Assessment Platform (CAP), validating an ICT based cardiac rehabilitation program with the Queensland Health. His research work focuses on analysing the ECG, heart rate variability and motion activities to evaluate the improvement of patients’ health conditions during the CAP cardiac rehabilitation program. He also works on the development of java applications to communicate mobile phones with Bluetooth enabled medical devices and remote databases. Before joining CSIRO, Hang ever worked on many R&D development projects, such as, the prediction of ventricular fibrillations by discriminating the nonlinear properties of the heart rate variability, the myocardial infarction evaluation by analysing the body potential mapping changes, the tri-phase intra-cardiac stimulations to eliminate unbalanced electrical charges on electrodes, and ECG triggering for the MRI to remove motion artefacts, etc.
