Biography
I graduated in 1987 from University of Wollongong, Australia, as a computer Engineer. From 1987 to 1989 I worked as Hardware/Software Engineer for Andrew Sweeney Electronic Pty Ltd. In these three years, I designed and completed the development of the software for the Emergency Warning and Public Address systems for Parliament House in Canberra.
In 1989-1990, I worked as the Software Engineer for a telecommunications company, Tytel Pty Ltd. I developed software for the Local Area Network Exchange (LANX) System.
I joined CSIRO Division of Manufacturing Technology as an Experimental Scientist in 1990. During this time, we completed the Task Planning System software – 1999 – to spin out Simsoft Pty Ltd. In 2001, I moved to Telecommunication and Industrial Physics to work on the wireless sensor (Hospitals Without Walls) using 3-axis Accelerator sensor with in-built wireless, Bluetooth and the RF heart rate sensor. August 2006, the Wireless Vital Sensor is patterned. I am currently working on the Precision Location System project in the area of DSP design, implementation and also implementing the application GUI software.
