Overview
Michael Sheng is a researcher at
CSIRO
ICT Centre. From 2002 to 2005 he was engaged in the Process Modeling
and Orchestration of Composite Web Services project
at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) while completing his
Ph.D. From 1999 to 2001, Sheng worked at UNSW as a visiting Research Fellow in the
field of multimedia database. Prior to that, he spent 6 years as a
senior software engineer in industries.
Sheng has edited two books and published more than 20 refereed
technical papers in journals and conferences including VLDB
Journal, IEEE Internet Computing, CACM, VLDB02, ICDE02, and CAiSE04. He
has been invited to serve on organizing and program committees for
dozens of international conferences including ACM SAC, WISE, ICSOC,
IEEE ICPADS. He was the publication chair of WISE05 and publicity
co-chair of ICSOC05.
Sheng is the recipient of the Microsoft
Research Fellowship (2003-2004) and CSC Fellowship (1999-2000). He
is also featured in "Who's
Who in the World" 2007 Edition.
