The Integrated Software and On-Line Documentation Environment (ISOLDE) is an integrated software development and document generation environment that supports technical authors in the production of on-line help.   In particular, it:

  • integrates documentation production into the software development lifecycle,
  • reduces tedious aspects of a technical writer's job, and
  • allows for easy documentation updates and maintenance.

As a result, ISOLDE can help shorten time to market for software projects.

This technology was developed by the IIT group at CSIRO with Professor Keith Vander Linden of  Calvin College in the United States,  partially funded by the US Office of Naval Research (ONR).
