Robotics

Our goal is to build robotic systems that behave intelligently and can perform useful taks in real-world environments. Robots can perform tasks that people cannot do well or safely, or the mundane jobs that they do not wish to do.

Our approach is based on developing a series of prototype robotic systems that demonstrate the enormous potential of robotic solutions in a broad range of application domains. Our robotics research program is strongly focused on civil applications, including: municipal operations, construction, mining, forestry, environmental monitoring and remediation, and agriculture.
