Networked Media

Information increasingly takes the form of digital, time-continuous media such as audio and video. Users of advanced networks will expect that this continuous media will be as accessible, indexed and searchable as data and text are today. Industries such as entertainment, education and medicine will expect this information to be available on a variety of platforms and locations.

The Networked Media team is developing new tools and technologies for integrating time-continuous media into the information space, made accessible by advanced networks.
