Web Services Security
Web Services technology has the potential to be a
complete and useful computing platform, looking set to dominate
the deployment of new application solutions over the next few years.
However, Web Services need security in order to enjoy widespread
deployment, and many aspects of Web Services present particular
challenges for security. In this talk we review Web Services, look
at the challenges for Web Services Security and introduce some of
the current initiatives designed to address them.
In some ways this talk is a sequel to the presentation "Web
Services: Facts, Fables and Futures" given on 10 March, in
this forum, by Paul Greenfield.
