Professor Denis Burnham is a Professor in Psychology and the Director of the MARCS Auditory Laboratories at the University of Western Sydney, Bankstown. His research interests include speech, reading and music perception, auditory-visual speech processing, and cross-language studies.

Dr. Kate Stevens is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology and the Deputy Director of MARCS Auditory Laboratories. She is also the leader of the Music Cognition Lab at MARCS. Her research interests include music perception and cognition, auditory icons and warning signals, choreographic cognition and evaluation of Text-to-Speech (TTS) synthesis systems.
