Abstract

This talk will discuss in which areas the Internet has changed the way we work and do business as well as the areas where changes have been minimal or only superficial. It will cover Business-to-Business as well as general Internet technology. (Slides from the presentation)

Short resume

Jordi Robert-Ribes is currently Manager Internet Advanced Services and E-Commerce at C&W Optus (Advanced Technology Group).

In previous roles, he carried out R&D in the areas of audio processing and automatic voice recognition. He published extensively in journals and international conferences, as well as organised international conferences and edited technical newsletters.

He has also acted as executive director of a special interest portal on the Web and lectured in universities in different countries.

Jordi holds a PhD in Signal Processing and Automatic Voice Recognition.
