Abstract

The balance between reactivity to environmental change and the ability to maintain a committment to achieving a particular goal that has been decided on is an important aspect of agent systems. This talk will focus on examples of problems caused by over-commitment or over-reactivity and will look at some mechanisms for management of these issues.
