Abstract
We have designed a system of opaque maskes for enhancing the
resolution of an image scanning system. Our talk answers to the
following questions (among may other):
- How can a set of masked detectors improve the performance of an
image scanning system?
- Why are some masking systems better than others?
- What has that to do with an n-dimensional hypercube and a class of
symmetric polynomials?
- Why is this a problem where computers fail but humans succeed?
This is a repeat of a talk we have given in Canberra.
